Hi ! I think I have been born a bookworm.
At the age of 6 I started reading Peter and Jane. i still remember the first few pages of the first book. (page 1)PETER. (page 2) Jane. (page 3) I like Peter. (page 4) . i like Jane...... and it goes on with 12 volumes of 3 books each. till the end of those , I was able to read English maturely till i finished the last book. In class 1, my mother used to read 'Enid Blyton's Hello Mr. Twiddle to me and some other books . I remember "the tabby kitten", "the frog princess", etc..I completed reading Mr twiddles series of 7 books by class 4 myself, and started enjoying Enid Blyton's Mystery series with its lovable group of young detective children who called themselves the "five findouters and dog" completed the 15 books by class 6 with the help of the local library and occasionally reading some books of Barny mysteries, and some few others. But in that period i don't think I read anyone else's except Enid Blyton. later in class 6. i tried to get along with the famous five and secret seven , but i felt the "secret seven" a bit babyish and the famous five was almost like "the five find-outer and dog" series.
The next year i started reading some recommended children's books like " The Nim's Island", "The story of Lala", Caravans to Tibet", "Alice in the wonderland", "Heidi", "The Queen of Jhansi", The little women","swami and friends" and many more. i also read Charlie's chocolate factory and the bf of Ronald Dalh..
i started with Agatha Cristie soon later, recommended by my mother and friend. the first book i read was " the dead mans folly" . I loved Hercules Pirots books mostly and enjoyed "the 3rd girl", "the big four", "dead on the Nile", and many more rapidly. I read a few of Miss maple's mystery's too- "sleeping murder"," 5:30 an Padington (something like that)"
Now I have started with Jeffery Archer's novels (early for my age- not approved by my mother) and just love its twisting tales.
I SHALL SHIFT EACH BOOK I READ IN COLUMN "B" TO COLUMN "A"
